For our first in-person event for 2026 we are delighted to be joined by guest speaker Sarah Hunter, former Managing Director of Officeworks. Celebrated for her authentic and people-focused approach to leadership, Sarah led the household name retail operation for more than six years through a period of significant growth and transformation.
In a fireside chat with FEI Director Brendan Hargreaves, Sarah will share practical insights on modern leadership in large organisations — how to lead transformation at scale, unlock sustainable value for shareholders, and build cultures that deliver both financial performance and exceptional customer outcomes. Sarah and Brendan will also explore the all-important relationship between business and finance leaders.
Prior to her role at Officeworks, Sarah held senior roles in strategy and finance at Coles for over 8 years, including acting as Program Director for the 2018 demerger from Wesfarmers. Sarah has also worked internationally holding leadership positions across the banking and transport sectors that spanned finance, strategy and transformation. In 2025, Sarah was recognised as Best CEO or Board Member at the Recalibrate-Gender Equity Awards Australia.
